Meb Withdraws From Houston Half-MarathonPublished by
With a strong field set for this weekend's Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half-Marathon, fans are excited to see which Americans will have breakout, personal best races. However, one of those runners who won't be running for a new PR is Meb Keflezighi. Meb, who seemed poised to challenge his half-marathon best of 1:01:00, tweeted out today that he's withdrawing from the event due to illness and is now 100% looking forward to the Boston Marathon on April 15. Meb's Tweet @runmeb As a result of a cold & flu that I had until earlier this week, I will not run the Houston Half Marathon. Time to focus on Boston. |
