Published by

Jerry Schumacher returned to Portland yesterday.

The Oregon Track Club/Portland coach had set up an altitude training camp in Colorado Springs leading into last weekend's USA Cross Country Championships. Now, the group has broken camp and come home.

The USA Cross Country Championships were a tour de force for Schumacher, with OTC/Portland runners Chris Derrick, Matt Tegenkamp and Elliot Heath going 1-3-4 in the men's race, and Shalane Flanagan and Emily Infeld going 1-4 in the women's race.
